CONCLUDING THE DAYS OF SOLIDARITY WITH SYRIA
Dear brothers and sisters
By the grace of Allah, the team that was working on the Days of Solidarity with People of Syria concluded the event with candle light vigil on Sunday( 5/11/2014) at the Copley Square. On behalf of the ICNE, let me take this opportunity to thank all those who put in the hard work to bring the event to a successful conclusion. I am sure Anwar Kazmi our committee chair and other leaders will have more to say on this matter.
We were pleased to have participants from our interfaith partners – who spoke very strongly against the atrocities being committed in Syria on Sunday.
I agree with suggestion made by Anwar, Omar, Mazen, Abdulfatah and others that we get together sometime to celebrate as well as review our action and evaluate what work well and what could have been improved on before we embark on any action as the committee.
Let me also take this opportunity to thank brother Muhammad Ali Salaam for laying a strong ground work for Sunday vigil and for thoughtfully providing everything that might conceivably be needed.
