*For Immediate Release*

_Assalamu Alaikum Waramatullahi Wa barakatuhu,_
We hope this message finds you in good spirit and faith.
This is a general announcement and an update to our community regarding Al-Marhama Islamic Burial Services accomplishments and plans for the year 2021. Alhamdulillah, this year we mark our 13th year of operation serving the community and offering burial service assistance and guidance to families at time of their loss of loved ones.
While we are no longer operating from the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC), Alhamdulillah, we have established 2 additional washing facilities to serve the community: 1) at the Islamic Cultural Center of Medford in Medford, MA and 2) Yusuf Mosque in Brighton, MA. Both are strategically located, and both are fully equipped and fully operational, and have been used to service community Janazas since the beginning of this year, walhamdulillah.
Al-Marhama, is a registered non-profit community institution, and has been serving the community since 2008.  In our 12+ years of service, Al-Marhama has created numerous connections with several funeral homes, cemeteries, Masajids, and boards that serve our community at large. These connections have allowed Al-Marhama to continue to serve the community and expand our services.
In fact, and in line with the community services objectives of Al-Marhama, it is our pleasure to announce that we now offer additional burial options and have partnered with Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Taunton, MA to have an affordable Muslim burial section made available to our community at large. Because of this partnership with Cedar Knoll Cemetery, we are now able to offer pre-need and at-need grave plots at very reasonable rates, walhamdulillah. Many of you may already have participated in a Janaza at Cedar Knoll Cemetery and have witnessed firsthand the Muslim section and professional service offered at this new community resource.
It is with this spirit, and with the needs of our community in mind, that Al-Marhama has always been operating, and will insha-Allah continue to operate in order to provide the best services to, and answers the needs of, our extended community at large.
Our Mission at Al-Marhama has always been, and will continue to be, to ease and facilitate the burial process for Muslim families who are confronted with the sudden and tragic passing of a loved one.  We will continue to strive to serve the community compassionately and with the utmost professionalism during a family’s time of hardship and difficulty.
We have come a long way from the early days of inception and have made tremendous inroads and raised awareness to our Islamic duty of preparing for such an event, and Alhamdulillah, all with your help and the help of many volunteers throughout the years.
In the near future, and as Ramadan is fast approaching, we will share with you ways to support Al-Marhama, and as well useful resources that we hope will help families learn about the burial process and will help them plan ahead, inshaAllah.
