The most recent satanic act in London by miscreants, who instead of showcasing the quintessence of Islam during Ramadan of fasting, prayers, kindness, charity, compassion and mercy, in fact desecrate the teachings of all humanity. Such self-described Muslims need to be sent a single commandment: that the only destination their demonic acts guarantee is Hell. Prime Minister May did not mince words when she depicted the actions ‘were inspired by a “single, evil ideology of Islamist extremism” that represented a perversion of Islam and of the truth.’ Predictably President Trump’s tweet echoed his ‘Muslim registry mindset’. As Muslims we agree with both that there is no place for ‘political correctness’ when dealing with persons outside the pale of society, and expect all to take an indomitable stand to reinforce the notion that the slaughter of innocent victims is not an ‘evil ideology of Islam’ but a horrendous heresy injected into it. It has nothing to do with ‘radical Islam’ and everything to do with radicalized Muslims, and must be expunged.
Chancellor Merkel, President Macron and President Putin, were among those who sent messages of condolences and made statements of solidarity. Pope Francis invited pilgrims to pray for the victims of the London attack. With humility we endorse these profound sentiments.
